Research Consultant required – Tunisia

We are looking for a research coordinator consultant. The consultant will coordinate setting up research on youth and urban violence in popular areas of greater Tunis.

This consultancy comes within the framework of implementing a project that aims to strengthen the democratic transition in the country, through the promotion of human rights, the fight against institutional, physical and symbolic violence as well as gender violence and all other inhuman treatment perpetrated against young adults between the ages of 18 and 34 living in poor areas of Greater Tunis. The project covers the following neighbourhoods: Ettadhamen and Douar Hicher. For a duration of 2 years, this project will implement activities centralised around qualitative research components as well as advocacy and dialogue components. The consultancy necessitates the coordination of a research team, preparation for field research and organisation of seminars. The consultant needs to be a holder of an advanced degree in social sciences. Having experience in research and research team coordination is necessary as well as fluency in written and spoken Arabic and French.
