PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The International Recruitment & Admissions Manager is responsible for both implementing and developing Higher education and technical & vocational institutions international admissions strategy in our key markets in order to grow the number of international students at all academic levels.

ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE:

• This position reports to the Admissions Director.
• Reporting to this position are four regional Orientation and Admissions advisors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• 1. Oversee the various student recruitment activities for all UCG’s institutions, producing annual market plans, regularly reviewing activities, results and strategies under the guidance of the admissions director.
• 2. Work with the UCG’s schools Deans on a regular basis for student entry into our programs.
• 3.Organize and attend a range of overseas student recruitment events including exhibitions, school visits, sponsor meetings and working with agent representatives.
• 4. Interview student applicants and make instant, on-the-spot admissions decisions in order to recruit and be competitive with other institutions, feeding back to the Admissions Team in a timely manner.
• 5. Follow through on enquiries from education events in Tunisia and overseas to provide continuous communication from prospective students and their representatives.
• 6. Draw up regular reports and reviews of marketing activities and strategy for analysis by the Marketing Director.
• 7. Assist the admissions director and oversee the process of new market selection.
• 8. Identify, nurture and manage new contacts for UCG within the targeted markets. These may include agents, high schools and universities.
• 9. Represent UCG schools and conduct and host visits by agents, embassies, educational institutions and other relevant bodies, including hosting delegations and giving presentations.
• 10. Observe the UCG’s rules and regulations regarding international student recruitment.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• 1. Provide leadership and supervision to staff by assisting them in defining shared and individual goals, meeting target dates, and ensuring alignment of team goals.
• 2. Manage key relationships and develop clear, regular communication with senior management and academic colleagues.
• 3. Set, monitor and review key performance indicators for staff, reporting outcomes and taking action as required to ensure the continuing effectiveness of international marketing and admissions functions.
• 4. Recruit, select and provide orientation to recruitment team members. Monitor and assess performances and employ strategies such as coaching and mentoring as appropriate to enhance performance, and ensure planned professional development for employees.
• 5. Direct staff on the best way to promote UCG programs & services to facilitate the successful conversion of international student applicants, ensuring alignment with overall International Admissions and Marketing goals and plans.
