Business development representative

About the role

Our growing company is in need of an eager and resourceful Business Development Manager to develop and implement growth opportunities in the France+Benelux as well as MEA(Middle-East and Africa) markets. 

The role will be to research and prospect for new opportunities in those key markets. This person will act as a significant accelerator for commercial and academic sales for Toon Boom and our Channel partners.

The ideal candidate will cultivate relationships with prospective clients in order to catalyze business development success.This individual will schedule meetings with clients in order to understand their needs. 

We’re searching for professionals that have a solid track record of developing new business and working closely with field sales to move opportunities through the funnel. First and foremost, we’re looking for a person who understands how to leverage real data and capitalize on business trends and opportunities. We’re looking for salespeople who are customer-obsessed and ready to solve the changing needs of our clients. Candidates should have strong communication skills and be well organized.

About you

Qualifications/requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years experience in:
• Business development with a proven track record for winning new business 
• Preferably working with animation, multimedia, video, software or technology sales
• Business planning and forecasting
• Working with senior level clients in large projects
• A strategic business and business development role, with demonstrated track record in establishing business relationships and securing deals with international partners
• Management and building of an opportunity pipeline, follow-up with clients, quoting, etc.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Complete fluency in English, French and Arabic, including professional written and verbal communication skills
• Meet or exceed business development KPIs and execute growth plans to achieve net revenue objectives

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

• Making 250 calls/emails per week to build and manage lead/account development pipeline
• Prospect into multiple markets via cold-calling, inbound leads, e-mail, and utilizing Internet information & research sources (LinkedIn etc)
• Articulate Toon Boom’s educational and commercial value proposition to school admin as well as studios-content creators to assess buying interest. Promote Toon Boom career software solutions to these key stakeholders
• Qualify all sales leads based upon specific lead qualification criteria definitions – provided by Headquarters
• Provide baseline research within targeted accounts to identify key contacts and critical account information prior to prospecting call
• Represent Toon Boom with the utmost professionalism
• Learn and demonstrate a fundamental understanding of the Company technology + Educational industry as it pertains to animation/digital skills – and clearly articulate capabilities and advantages to prospective customers
• Prioritization of Data Integrity in SFDC
• Update lead rank/stage and prospect interaction in SFDC throughout
• Follow sales opportunities from inception closing. 
• Ability to understand and identify new business opportunities and involve relevant stakeholders to drive business to close
• Knowledge of Google platform and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
• Knowledge of Salesforce
• Knowledge of animation industry, technologies, software and services is welcome 
• Ability to prioritize and complete tasks in a reasonable manner
• Ability to develop relationships and communicate across different cultures and business styles.
• Ability to demonstrate problem solving skills
