Objectives and Scope of Position:
The Head of Sales & Marketing role is to organize and control all activities within the Department in order to achieve the planned and agreed sales and profit contribution.
Develop and formularize short-, medium- and long-term marketing strategies and programs for designated line of products to ensure maximum profitability, attainment of sales targets and build corporate brand image.
His/her main responsibilities is:
Primary Responsibilities and Accountabilities
o To determine the necessary strategies and policies which are necessary to realize the yearly
budget and to reach the sales targets and to take the necessary actions which are in line
with the Roche principles,
o To ensure the attainment of all the targets by making the necessary revisions on regional
and product basis in order to reach the sales targets which are annually determined,
o To participate in the preparation and the practice of the Pay for Performance plan and to
approve the payment of the premiums,
o To develop new promotion systems with the marketing team, to ensure that the marketing
strategies are sales and result oriented, and to support creativity in marketing activities,
o To approve the promotion materials prepared by Product Managers according to the yearly
program, if necessary to make amendments and to ensure a consensus about the issue,
o To establish the mainframe of the company’s annual sales policy and to execute and
develop it with the cooperation of the Field Force Manager and Market Access Department,
To cooperate with the Market Access Department in terms of sales and collection issues,
o To cooperate with Human Resources for recruitment and dismissal decisions which are in
line with the headcounts within the budget,
o To plan and to ensure the practice of the yearly training program of the Sales & Marketing
department; to take actions for developing career plans of the employees and to realize the
necessary arrangements for improving the work motivation and efficiency of the Department,
o To operate in different therapeutic area
o To cooperate with all the related departments in order to reach the related business unit and
company targets,
o To build contacts with official institutions and other organizations on issues which are related
with the business unit when necessary and to take actions which are in accordance with the
company principles and targets,
o To protect and to promote the company prestige and culture while carrying out all the duties
of the position,
o To ensure the continuity of Roche Tunisia in accordance with the global vision, mission and
values of Roche,
o To be part of Tunisia Leadership Team and actively participate in the regular leadership
meetings to take part in the decisions which are related with Roche Tunisia,
o To communicate all drug safety information to drug safety personnel within one working
day with respect to MoH drug safety legislations, guidelines and Roche SOPs. To inform
healthcare professionals about the adverse event reporting process if needed
o To follow up environment, health and safety issues; to abide by the related policies and to
attend related trainings when necessary
University Degree /MBA and/or Scientific
• 7+ years’ experience in business development, marketing and sales.
Experience, Skills, Knowledge:
1. Experience in Tunisia and Libya Market is a plus.
2. Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is a plus and experience of launching and selling new products would be ideal.
3. People management (Train, coach & develop)
4. Strong Communication, organization & coordination skills, ability to manage multi-tasks, ability to analyze, diagnose market dynamics and accordingly make sound decisions, working under pressure.
5. Fluency in both English & French, oral and written
6. Cultural awareness and business sensitivity will be essential
