Senior RF Engineer

Job Description

• Assist the client with RF optimization, device testing, quality assurance, and bug tracking
• Perform analysis of network KPI’s, troubleshoot issues, and be involved hands-on with dayto-day performance management / optimization functions for assigned markets
• Perform parameter audits, data fill parameters, conduct, pre-post analysis, and prepare performance reports
• Analyze drive test data and propose software and hardware recommendations to optimize and improve network performance
• Monitor and trend network statistics, troubleshoot issue sites and resolve capacity issues
• Identify and resolve data performance issues – e.g. outage, latency, throughput, failed connection attempts, and drop connections
• Work with RF Integration and technical support teams to resolve any hardware/technical issues and implement changes.
• Perform RF optimization/performance activities according to project plan and in project manager’s guidance.
• Use propagation tools for candidate comparison, propagation and coverage review and site selection.
• Perform RF evaluation for system planning and site acquisition, beginning with identification of location specific needs for new cells taking baseline, performance, capacity, and population into consideration.
• Evaluate RF designs to ensure coverage and capacity requirements are met.

The skills and experience that will help you succeed

• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecom Engineering or Computer Science
• Knowledge in in RF Survey/Engineering and RF troubleshooting skills
• Experience using OSS platforms such us Ericson, Nokia, Samsung etc.
• Knowledge in LTE principles is a must
• Experience preparing and documenting test plans, reports and test analysis.
• Being a team player in the truest sense, with an ability to work with partners across different time zones
• Strong oral and written communication skill
