Your Role: 

You apply, adjust to the local needs and continuously update/improve all elements of our Group Compliance management system in the countries of our North West Africa cluster, covering all our divisions (Healthcare, Life Science, Electronics and Group Functions). The cluster includes North Africa and French Speaking Africa Countries.

You interact directly with all clients in these countries including senior management. As trusted strategic business counsellor, you provide guidance and serve as primary point of contact for them for anti-bribery/anti-corruption, anti-money-laundering, business ethics and data privacy related questions.

You have the opportunity to closely collaborate with regional and international colleagues across the global compliance team.

Among other things, you drive the following compliance portfolio elements:

• • Risk assessment,
  • Policies & procedures,
  • Committees for Compliance-related discussion and decision making including relevant key functions,
  • Training & Awareness,
  • Compliance programs & supporting tools contributing to internal controls and overall governance (incl. interactions management and third-party due diligence/screening process​),
  • Monitoring & reporting (incl. managing the French disclosure procedures)
  • Case management
  • Data Privacy Management

Your role does not only include the local implementation of global or regional Compliance initiatives, but you will also have the opportunity to participate already in the design phase of such projects.

Your role also includes the identification and analysis of the impact of relevant trends, laws and regulations on the compliance management system. You will also be strongly involved in shaping the continuous evolution of the self-regulation framework in the relevant industry associations both at the local and regional levels. You will have an external representation role, i.e. liaison role towards authorities and local pharma associations.  

Who you are:

• You have a proven track of experience in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, or medical device industries
• Graduate degree in law would be preferred, preferably also bar exam, however other relevant degrees combined with an extensive working experience in a healthcare compliance role shall also be considered
• At least six years of professional compliance experience in the healthcare sector, with anti-bribery/anti-corruption, business ethics, data privacy and anti-money-laundering as focus areas
• Deep knowledge of applicable laws and industry codes, in particular in the areas of criminal law, anti-bribery/corruption law and healthcare law
