As part of the FTI Touristic Group, the third largest Travel Operator in Germany, Meeting Point is a worldwide company providing destination management services for travel professionals. Current destinations we operate within include, popular Mediterranean holiday hot-spots such as: The Canaries, Spain, Greece, Turkey, Portugal, Italy and Cyprus, further afield resorts such as Azores, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia and Lebanon, and long-haul destinations such as USA, the Caribbean, Thailand, the UAE and Oman.

Meeting Point Tunisia is seeking a highly motivated, strategically and financially astute individual to take the organization through the next challenging and exciting phase of its development. It has great opportunities to build on the foundations already laid down and continue to grow and thrive as a vital component in the Meeting Point world. Working closely with the Board and representatives of member organizations in a variety of settings you will ensure that Meeting Point Tunisia delivers excellent services and support to member organizations through policy, communications and stakeholder management. You will also provide vision and leadership to the team at Meeting Point Tunisia.

As the CEO you will be responsible for ensuring that the core business of Meeting Point Tunisia is delivered and through your passion for the cause and your entrepreneurial abilities you will also be responsible for identifying and developing strategic partnership and alliances to grow Meeting Point Tunisia’s core and extended services which align with our vision and strategy.

This is a dynamic and fast-paced environment that will suit a strategic thinker with clear vision and solid networking and communication skills, managing relationships between Meeting Point Tunisia, Tour Operators and OTA’s, leveraging the company reputation and your own industry contacts to best effect. Applicants should possess sound experience of leading a dynamic organization, operating in multiple locations, have a bold and energetic approach, and the gravitas to lead, mentor and develop a multi-functional workforce across various regions and facilities. This role is based in Sousse Governorate and will include frequent international travel.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Establish and implement a full strategic business plan with the aim of achieving agreed growth targets, holding overall P&L responsibility
• Proactively driving business development activities, securing sales and negotiating contracts in order to achieve the anticipated growth and profitability objectives.
• Manage ongoing customer relationships whilst exploring new markets and territories with a view to greatly enhancing sales and hitting growth targets.
• Deliver both commercial and operational excellence by incorporating group level initiatives to ensure local success.

The preferred candidate has held a similar role at Executive level in the tourism industry/ DMC sector and is degree qualified in business. Experience within the Tunisian’s Market is required.

Your profile:

• A track record of successful leadership at the most senior management level within an organization of similar size and complexity.
• Previous full P&L responsibility and a track record of developing and delivering business development and B2B sales strategies.
• A strong influencer, motivator and diplomat with a real passion for the business, the ability to quickly build credibility combined with negotiation skills to a strong and capable level are imperative in being successful within this position.
• An adept communicator with a good command for the English and Arabic language. German is an asset.
