Director of Sales & Marketing

Main Responsibilities

• Develop rates, group sales deployment strategies through review of competitive data, demand analysis and mix management.
• Knowledge of travel industry, current market trends and economic factors
• Works with team to ensure understanding of sales strategy and effective implementation of the strategy by market segment
• Ensures coverage of both local and international market
• Responsible for the account management of key and prospect accounts
• Analyzes team performance to ensure financial targets are met
• Assists with the development of the team through training and coaching the team
• Maintains accurate records of training of the team, development needs and progress
• Ensures that all calls and sales leads are answered in a timely manner and as per company standards

Requirements

• Bachelor or Master degree or Higher National Diploma equivalent in Hospitality or Business Management
• Minimum 5 years of experience working in Business hotel environment within Sales and Banqueting and with minimum 2 years of experience in a leadership role
• ·Mature and outgoing with excellent interpersonal skills for both external and internal customer
