The DO shall represent Canada at relevant meetings, as requested by Development Program Manager, and shall explore opportunities for improving aid effectiveness of Canadian programming. The DO shall endeavour to align Canada’s interventions with the local government’s national objectives; assist with the implementation of bilateral and non-bilateral programmes (including humanitarian assistance projects) and shall be responsible for Canadian-funded projects in the area of development and other sectors as required and accomplish other duties required by program needs including public relations and hospitality functions.
Education:
• Significant experience in a senior role in research and analysis; writing reports, briefing notes and presentations; and providing recommendations and strategic advice on issues related to international development in Tunisia.
• Significant experience in a senior role in implementation of results-based management principles in project management and monitoring.
• Significant experience in a senior role in networking and management of partnerships with Tunisian governmental or non-governmental organizations (civil society and the private sector), multilateral institutions or donors in Tunisia or abroad.
Knowledge:
• Experience in a diplomatic mission or international environment.
• Work or study experience in Canada
