The U.S. Mission in Tunis is seeking five eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Motor pool Driver in the General Service Office

BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION:
The incumbent operates automobiles and light trucks to meet a range of official transportation needs, from driving Embassy employees and official visitors to delivering documents, supplies, and equipment. Responsible for the safe operation of assigned vehicles at all times, by meticulously following the Embassy’s safe driving policies and following local traffic laws. Responsible for monitoring the proper operation and clean appearance of assigned vehicles. Performs thorough safety and operational checks, such as tire pressure and fluid levels, on a daily basis and reports any anomalies to the Motor Pool Supervisor and Mechanic. Completes daily required vehicle reports and documentation. May be asked to assist with office/computer tasks, special projects, VIP visits, and other tasks. Cleans interior and exterior of assigned vehicles before and after usage. Must be able to work a rotating shift schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
