Software/Data Engineer

InstaDeep is looking for a new software data engineer to join our expanding team in Tunis, Tunisia.

JOB DESCRIPTION

In this role at InstaDeep you will report to the head of engineering.

ROLE PURPOSE

To develop high scale software applications and data pipelines, in collaboration with other team members.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Designing, developing, and operating data integration pipelines to provide high quality datasets for analytical and machine learning use-cases
• Ensure quality and security of data stored and transferred
• Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development and proposed solutions
• Coordinate with internal teams from local and international offices 
• Create solid and self-explanatory documentations
• Continuously improve our algorithms and approaches. On this note we encourage thinking outside the box and want our developers to challenge the status quo.

Person Specification

REQUIREMENTS

• Good knowledge and experience in developing Python (or Golang)
• Experience with Unit testing
• Knowledge of relational and NoSQL database systems (PostgresSQL, Redis, etc)
• Comprehensive experience in Software Development
• Experience working with data processing and relevant architectures
• Ability and interest in translating business requirements into technological visions, and reimagining data-processing technologies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French.
• Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams and management to collect requirements, identify tasks, provide estimates and meet production deadlines.
• Detective-level attention to detail and self-discipline that others would love.

 

Preferred:

• Understanding of basic ML concepts
• Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD concepts
• Experience working with Cloud Environments (e.g., GCP, AWS)
