The Job:
Electronic Hardware Engineering Intern
HORIZOP Energy is looking for a highly motivated Electronic Hardware Engineering Intern to join our R&D team in designing, testing, and prototyping the PCB of our EV charging station. The compensation for this position will depend on the qualifications and the candidate’s profile. The job is hybrid, and the candidate can work either in our HQ at Technopole El Ghazela, Ariana, Tunis, or remotely from home, depending on the task.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with designing and developing the EV charging hardware, including circuit design, PCB layout, and prototyping.
- Conduct hardware testing and troubleshooting to ensure product quality and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that hardware meets product requirements and customer needs.
- Assist with developing hardware documentation, including schematics, BOMs, and assembly instructions.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in electric vehicle charging and hardware design.
Qualifications:

- Graduated or pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Undergraduate junior, senior, or graduate student standing.
- Experienced expert in Electronic systems, Circuit & PCB design, and Embedded systems.
- Experience with Solar-Powered Charging Systems is a huge plus.
- Good Communication skills in English and French.
- Ability to adapt to different work requirements and conditions.
- Experience with CAD Software for Circuit Design and PCB layout (preferably Altium Designer).
- Experience with electronic and PCB Simulation Software.
- Experience with Hardware Testing & Troubleshooting using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, function generators, and multimeters.
- Passion for electric vehicles and sustainable transportation.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Great team player with excellent collaboration skills.
