Commissioning manager

to join our growing team in Libya.

Job Description/Responsibilities:

Overall Commissioning Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive commissioning strategies for oil and gas projects, ensuring alignment with project objectives and client requirements.
Team Leadership: Lead and manage a multidisciplinary commissioning team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Provide guidance and support to team members throughout the commissioning process.
Planning and Scheduling: Develop detailed commissioning plans, schedules, and procedures to ensure the timely and efficient execution of commissioning activities. Coordinate with project management and engineering teams to integrate commissioning plans into overall project timelines.
Resource Management: Allocate resources effectively, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to optimize commissioning activities. Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards.
System Readiness: Oversee the preparation of systems and equipment for commissioning, including mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, and testing. Ensure all systems are ready for startup according to project specifications.
Commissioning Testing: Direct and supervise commissioning tests, trials, and simulations to validate system functionality and performance. Identify and address any issues or deviations from design specifications.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and comprehensive commissioning documentation, including test procedures, reports, and project records. Provide regular updates to project management and stakeholders on commissioning progress.
Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure that commissioning activities meet or exceed industry standards, client expectations, and regulatory requirements.
Client Interface: Act as the primary point of contact for the client during the commissioning phase. Address client concerns, provide status updates, and ensure client satisfaction with the commissioning process.

Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
Proven experience in commissioning management within the oil and gas industry.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
In-depth knowledge of commissioning processes, standards, and best practices.
Familiarity with relevant industry codes and regulations.
Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
