About the project
The British Council is working with the European Commission (EC) to deliver a three year project where the overall objective is to enhance the availability of qualified human resources based on the demand of the labour market in order to effectively contribute to the socio-economic development of Libya.
The contract was suspended through force majeure in October 2014 due to the worsening security situation in Libya. The British Council and the EC have now agreed to assess the feasibility of starting up programme activity in 2019. British Council is now analysing the situation and preparing a revised workplan for approval. The posts need to be close to the EU delegation for Libya which is based in Tunis. We expect these posts will work closely with at least a team in Tripoli led by Deputy Team Leader and a small Project Management Unit in Tunis.
