Who are we ?

Birdhouce is an online marketplace that provides customers with unique and modern home-furniture designs from emerging independent designers and studios. We connect global designers to local manufactures and use digital fabrication to manufacture sustainably. By leveraging our own network of partner-makers around the world we empower designers and give them access to multiple markets instantly. Our goal is to make great design accessible for all, removing the barriers, costs and delays of importing and exporting.

We are looking for an eco-conscious Community Officer that’s passionate about the world of design, local-making and a sustainable future. Your main role will be reaching out to new and emerging international product-designers, updating and onboarding them on our platform.

What you’ll do.

• Define a strategy for reaching out to product designers and create an efficient framework to onboard them.
• Scout, Identify and contact appropriate product designers using various portfolio platforms and onboard them onto the Birdhouce platform.
• Maintain an organized list of designers, with their info.
• Maintain clear communication with designers as what they need to submit and help in assessing the quality of their work while giving back appropriate feedback.
• Follow up with designers and make sure their deliverables are sent on time.
• Periodic reporting of the community and social media updates to the management team.
• Create content and manage social media channels.

What we’re looking for.

• Experience in marketing, communication and/or community management.
• Excellent communication skills in written and verbal format.
• A friendly individual that has a passion for interacting with people.
• A creative individual with a great sense of design. (design background is a plus)
• Be comfortable and familiar with Google Workspace, Calendly, Slack.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English is a must.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
