Human Rights Intern

Are you passionate about working in the field of human rights, and interested in the Egyptian political and human rights context?

Background

Belady: An Island for Humanity is a human rights organization supporting Egyptian women and children among political prisoners since 2017 through providing tailored-need services including legal assistance, psychological support, observation and documentation, research, and advocacy.

Interns will have an opportunity to work on projects that have a direct positive impact on the lives of communities.

Responsibilities will include:

• Human rights research,
• Communications and Advocacy
• Data collection
• Translation (Arabic-English)

Qualifications:

• Intern must be passionate about human rights with excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong preference for individuals who are fluent in English and Arabic.
• Strong computer skills.
• Social Media skills are a plus.
