Descriptif du poste

* Position Purpose Summary:

The Director of Communication is responsible in Planning, developing, implementing, and maintaining an effective and strategic communications, program for the beIN Sport. Overseeing and Delivering the Foundation’s media strategy and all external communications working across the organization.

* Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

1. Develops and implements a strategic communications and marketing plan that increases public awareness and support of programs, services, and activities.
2. Serves as the company’s spokesperson and establishes and maintains relationships with news media representatives.
3. Evaluate & review press releases, feature articles, news stories, postings, reports, and other communications which highlight the goals, objectives, policies, programs, activities
4. Evaluates the effectiveness and efficiency of internal and external information, media relations, and external relations programs of the beIN Sport.
5. Working with the Director of Strategy and Investment researchers to understand the analysis and help shape work to ensure it will have a high public Impact.
6. Manage a small global communication team. Re-evaluate the team on a market per market basis and help set regional communication structures. Work on media relations hires for Mena and Asia markets.
7. Cultivate impactful communication strategies that amplify wider business activities, which drive awareness, consideration and activation amongst consumers and partners.
8. Develop effective issues management processes, which involve PR, GR, Legal, to respond quickly and effectively to brand and corporate reputation threats. Ensure this fit into wider global crisis management processes
9. Design and deliver the Foundation’s overall media strategy in order to raise the beIN Sport profile.
10. Identify the characteristics of diverse target audiences and determine the most effective communications techniques.
11. Analyse situations accurately, adopt an effective course of action, and maintain composure in all situations

* Other Responsibilities:

• Define and document annual department related priorities, policies and procedures, to ensure meeting strategic and operational objectives and targets
• Requires an understanding that beIN MEDIA GROUP is a global company that attracts significant international media attention and close working relationship with the various business units across international colleagues consulting them as appropriate.
• Consolidate and approve the department’s forecasted marketing, communications and international relations project related budgets, whilst reviewing quarterly and annual budgetary reports submitted by section heads
• Participate in committees as directed by top management
• Perform other duties relevant to the job as requested

* Job Requirements and Qualifications:

• Education: Minimum Bachelor or Higher Degree in Media Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or any related field (Master Degree would be an advantage)
• Experience: Between 10 to 15 years of professional experience in Marketing, International Relations, Media or related fields is preferable
