Role Summary:
Baker Hughes, a GE offers the opportunity as an experienced “Procurement Specialist” to join the team in Sfax, Tunisia.
Essential Responsibilities:
Under minimal supervision, provides support to strategic sourcing employees.
Assists sourcing project managers, manufacturing engineers and directors in the mining and analyzing of data.
Designs, specifies, implements, and maintains automated and manual processes in support of business reporting needs and/or corporate strategy.
Familiar with commodity classification.
Independently prepares presentations.
Handles special projects as assigned, which will be broad in nature, requiring originality and ingenuity.
Conducts all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes Health, Safety and Environmental policies, Legal Compliance requirements and Baker Hughes Core Values.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
Min. 3 years sourcing/procurement experience.
Desired Characteristics:
Detailed knowledge of sourced commodities, suppliers, and market trends.
Exceptional analytical, project management, negotiation, facilitation, and customer service skills.
Excellent communication, organization, problem solving, and planning skills.
Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications, including use of modeling and database functionality in Excel.
Knowledge of SAP and ERP.
Industry experience is a plus
