Gallery Assistant!
Since its inception in 2020, Archivart has evolved from an innovative online platform to a vibrant physical gallery nestled in the heart of La Marsa, Tunis. Our gallery is dedicated to showcasing the dynamic and diverse world of art through meticulously curated solo and group exhibitions. To date, Archivart has proudly hosted over 20 exhibitions, each telling its own unique story and contributing to the rich tapestry of the art scene in Tunis.
Role Overview:
As a Gallery Assistant, you will be at the forefront of the art world, playing a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations of Archivart. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, your contributions will ensure the smooth execution of exhibitions and maintain the gallery’s reputation as a beacon of art and culture. This position offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the art community, engage with artists and collectors, and contribute to the thriving cultural landscape of Tunis.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate logistics within the gallery to ensure a seamless visitor experience and the professional presentation of art.
Assist in the planning and execution of art exhibitions, while working with the communications and logistics team.
Maintain comprehensive records of artists, art collectors, and sponsors, fostering strong relationships within the art community.
Support the curatorial process, including artist engagement and the selection of artworks, to create compelling exhibitions.
Propose innovative ideas for new derivative products that align with the gallery’s aesthetic and enhance the visitor experience.
What We’re Looking For?
• A dedicated individual with a background in Culture or Art Management, or a related field.
• Experience in curating or mediating art events, demonstrating a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of the art world.
• Fluency in Arabic, French, and English to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders.
• A profound passion for art and a desire to contribute to the cultural enrichment of Tunis.
