Quality Assurance Engineer

We are looking for a software Quality Assurance (QA) engineer to develop and implement exploratory, manual, and automated tests to ensure our software meets the established standards of quality including reliability, usability and performance required for distribution to our end customers.

The QA engineer role plays an important part in our company’s product development process. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting tests before product launches to ensure software runs smoothly as expected and to detect potential issues. If you hold an engineering background and enjoy providing end-to-end solutions to software quality problems, we’d like to meet you.

QA engineer responsibilities include designing and implementing tests, debugging, and analyzing defects root causes. You will also work closely with other internal teams to drive QA effort.

Responsibilities

• Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to identify system requirements
• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
• Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
• Plan and conduct test cases under varying circumstances
• Perform thorough regression testing prior to releases
• Continuous analysis and improvement of testing procedure
• Detects, logs, and reports program bugs and glitches to development teams
• Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and help troubleshoot issues
• Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies

• Bachelor/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Nice to have skills

• Proven work experience in software quality assurance
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
• Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Hands-on experience with automated testing tools
• Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus
