The Legal Officer will provide the legal support and advice to allocated business units on a broad range of transactions and legal issues as well as any other legal assistance required.
The incumbent will take part in the preparation and management of contracts and other commercial arrangements handled by the Legal Department to ensure that they are in compliance with the laws and regulations and to safeguard the Bank’s interests and progress the Bank’s strategy.
The position will also include the management of claims and disputes in co-operation with external lawyers and other duties as assigned by the Head of Legal Department.
The Legal Officer reports to the Head of Legal Department and refers to latter for the escalation of any issues.
Required Qualifications and experience:
Master degree in Law from an accredited law school (Private Law, Economic law or banking law).
A minimum of 3PQE with strong corporate experience gained in-house or with a law firm.
Experience in banking industry is preferred.
