a JUNIOR MARKETING ANALYST

Purpose of the job:

Marketing Analysts develop marketing plans for companies by gathering data and analyzing market trends. Essential job duties include creating surveys, determining consumer preferences, evaluating feedback, generating reports, and proposing solutions to increase profit.

Job functions:

·Responsible for tracking, reporting, and analyzing performance of marketing activities, ad-hoc analytic requests, and development/automation of regular reports
·Collect and analyze data regarding customer preferences, demographics, buying habits and needs to better identify market potential and factors influencing product demand
·Gather information on competitors, and conduct analysis on their sales, prices and methods of distribution and marketing to thoroughly learn about the competition
·Conduct research on consumer opinions regarding marketing strategies;
·Prepare reports on findings while illustrating data with graphs and translating complex results into written texts that are clear and understandable
·Devise and assess procedures and methods for data collection, including opinion polls, surveys and questionnaires
·Track and forecast trends in sales and marketing, and analyze in detail the data collected to provide management with thorough reports and results
·Measure the effectiveness of advertising, marketing and communications strategies

Knowledge and skills required:

· Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics or any related field.
· Ability to multitask well.
· Proficient in marketing research and statistical analysis.
· Excellent analytical skills and a high degree of business acumen.
· Strong organizational, communication and presentation skills.
· Proven ability in handling concurrent projects with attention to detail and accuracy.
· Power BI, Python, R studio, SPSS, Tableau, Excel, Power Point
