Duties and Responsibilities of the Graphic Designer

LIBYA DESK is looking for a Graphic Designer to create engaging and on-brand graphics for a variety of media and projects. This will entail visualising and creating graphics including illustrations, logos, layouts and photos. You’ll be the one to shape the visual aspects of our websites, reports, social media and more.

Your graphics should capture the attention of those who see them and communicate the right message. For this, you need to have a creative flair and a strong ability to translate requirements into design. If you can communicate well and work methodically as part of a team, we’d like to meet you.

Main responsibilities:

• Conceptualise visuals based on requirements
• Prepare rough drafts and present ideas
• Develop a recognizable visual identity for platforms and productions
• Develop illustrations, logos and other designs using industry software
• Use the appropriate colours and layouts for each graphic
• Work with team to produce final design
• Test graphics across various media
• Amend designs after feedback
• Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand

Competencies

Technical/Functional Competencies:

• Proven digital illustration and photo editing skills
• Experience in creating different types of graphic designing
• A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics
• Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop)
• A keen eye for aesthetics and details
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines
• Ability to manage workload with minimum supervision and collaborate with colleagues to meet & exceed deadlines;

Required Skills and Experience

Applicants must at the time of application meet ONE of the following requirements:

• be enrolled in a second university degree programme (Master Degree)
• be enrolled in the second, third, or final academic year of a first university degree programme (Bachelor Degree)
• have graduated with a university degree

Languages:

• Fluent in Arabic and English.
