Event Manager

Great Place to Work Middle East is growing our marketing function, and we’re looking for an event planning superstar to design and execute a full calendar of digital, in-person, and hybrid events.

Our team is laser-focused on growing our market presence through events and partnerships across the GCC region. We’ll be hosting in-person best workplaces awards ceremonies and conferences that celebrate great workplaces in the region along with informative online webinars to expand our client base. In addition, we’re looking to increase our leaders’ speaking engagements through key events in the human capital management and technology space.

Our ideal Events Manager is at ease with planning events of varying size and complexity and can manage multiple stakeholders with grace and aplomb. You’re a natural project manager who anticipates issues and always has a Plan A, B, and C. You can pivot seamlessly between creating the big picture strategy and executing the details. You get excited about metrics and tracking successes, and you use these insights to make tangible improvements.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

• • Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of all GPTW Middle East events, including online and onsite awards events, webinars, conferences and seminars, and participation in HR and technology trade shows and conferences
• • Partner with Marketing Director and sales leaders to organize and staff customer and sponsored events
• • Create content and design to support events and enrich the website event’s page
• • Collaborate with Marketing Director and organization executives to develop event strategy and objectives
• • Spearhead initiatives to meet objectives based on lead generation, customer advocacy, and more
• • Drive marketing influenced pipeline and generate MQLs through onsite activations
• • Analyze, track, and report on event ROI based on the predetermined pipeline, revenue, and MQL metrics using CRM, email marketing, project management, and similar systems
• • Work with vendors in support of online and onsite events, designers on event displays, and ensure all materials are GPTW brand compliant
• • Manage event projects, budgets, and timelines
• • Plan events and webinars from start to finish according to requirements, target audience, and objectives
• • Obtain customer feedback and analyze the events’ success and prepare reports for leadership

Skills Required:

• • BS/MS degree in marketing or a related field
• • Proven working experience in event management or marketing for at least 3 years
• • Organizational skills and attention to detail
• • Communication and interpersonal skills
• • Negotiation skills when looking for the best price from venues, suppliers, and contractors
• • Time-management skills and the ability to work under pressure to ensure the efficient running of an event
• • Project management experience
• • Problem-solving skills and diplomacy
• • Sales and marketing skills to promote the event and attract sponsorship
