Trader / Sales Specialist (North Africa)

OUR COMPANY

We are a trading company with offices in South Africa (Head office), Turkey, Switzerland, Tunisia and are expanding our market share on the African Continent. Our trading portfolio includes:

• • Industrial Minerals (Boron, Sodium, Borax, Feldspar)
  • Basic Chemicals – used in industries such as construction chemicals, textiles, ceramics, glass and adhesives.
  • Agricultural products – such as fertilizers, seeds, plant protection products and agricultural equipment.

The Candidate

We are looking for an English / French -Speaking Sales Specialist who has at least 2 years’ experience in Sales and Trade or similar field and has excellent comprehension in any one of the three sectors.(Chemical , Agricultural products, minerals) The candidate should have a knowledge of international trading and have a good knowledge of markets on the African continent and the Middle East. The candidate will also need to be competent in contract negotiation and preparation between stakeholders.

The PURPOSE OF THE role

The overall role is to improve Anatrica’s market position in Africa and achieve financial growth. To assist in achieving long-term organizational strategic goals by finding new customers, converting them into clients or partners and building and maintaining key relationships, thereby maximizing revenue for the organization. To understand Anatrica’s goal and purpose and continuously enhance the company’s performance. Understand Anatrica’s people and mentor internal staff to grow and succeed.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Prospecting and Research

• Prospect for new local and international clients to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.
• Create a business plan for new opportunities and complete a feasibility study.
• Gain insight into the client’s concerns and objectives. Develop proposals, pitches and presentations that speak to the client’s needs.
• Identify the decision makers within the potential client’s organization and facilitate introductions between Anatrica’s executives and the clients’ or partners’ executives.
• Visit and meet potential partners.
• Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales.
• Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop Anatrica’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.
• Negotiation and preparation of contracts between stakeholders.

CRM and Reporting

• Anticipate the market and your clients’ needs, concerns and strategies.
• Work with the team to ensure that prerequisites (like pre-qualification or getting on a vendor list) are fulfilled within a timely manner.
• Facilitate and participate in internal and external client debriefs.
• Submit weekly progress reports, forecasts and sales target reports.
• Track and record activity on accounts and help to close deals to meet these targets.

Product Development

• Keep abreast of developments in the industry by conducting research and attending industry functions such as Webinars, events and conferences and provide feedback and information on market trends, new products and client expectations.
• Present and consult with mid and senior level management on business trends with a view to developing new services, products, and distribution channels.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION:

• 2 years’ experience in international trade, import and export in West African countries
• Experience in one of the following sectors is a must. (Chemical Products, Industrial Raw Materials, Agricultural Products)
• Experience in bulk/container sales and trade in Ivory Coast is a must.
• To have knowledge in following sectors is a plus: ceramic, Chemical sectors, Agriculture, and fertilizer sectors.
• University graduate is a must.
• Able to make market analysis related to the sectors.
• Advanced planning and organization skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, positive attitude and sales oriented
• Excellent command of French is a must and acceptable level of English is also required.
• Very good knowledge of MS Office.
• No obstacle to travel. Being able to travel around the world would be a plus.
• Completed military service for male candidates if needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Organizing, developing, and implementing sales planning for the target countries
• Monitoring market conditions and take necessary actions to ensure smooth cash flow.
• Ensuring the delivery of orders on time and under agreed conditions
• Ensuring good relationship with the distributors / customers
• Gaining new customers in new markets and increasing sales volume of company
• Good knowledge of logistic bulk and containers.
• Familiar with trade rules and logistic operations between Ecowas countries
• Ability to work alone and being a self-starter.
• Corporate experience is a plus.
• Having worked in multicultural organizations is a plus.
• Providing required activity reports to management
• Maintain knowledge on all competitor products and activities.

French :

Qualifications Requises :

• un minimum de 2 ans d’expérience dans le domaine du commerce international, négoce, l’importation et l’exportation dans les pays d’Afrique de l’ouest.
• Une expérience dans l’un des secteurs suivants est indispensable. (Produits chimiques, matières premières industrielles, produits agricoles، et les engrais)
• Une expérience dans le domaine de la vente et du commerce en vrac / en gros / conteneurs en Côte d’Ivoire est indispensable.
• Avoir des connaissances dans les secteurs suivants est un plus: les secteurs de la production de la céramique, de la chimie industrielle , de l’agriculture et des engrais.
• Un diplôme universitaire est un indispensable.
• Capable de faire des analyses de marché liées aux différents secteurs.
• Compétences avancées en planification et organisation.
• Excellentes compétences interpersonnelles, attitude positive et orientée vers les ventes
• Une excellente maîtrise du français est indispensable et un niveau d’anglais acceptable est également requis.
• Très bonne connaissance de MS Office et CMR.
• Aucun obstacle pour voyager. Pouvoir voyager à travers le monde serait un plus.
• Service militaire terminé pour les candidats masculins si nécessaire.

RESPONSABILITÉS:

• Organisation, développement et mise en œuvre de la planification des ventes pour les pays cibles et spécialement en Afrique de l’ouest.
• Surveiller les conditions du marché et prendre les mesures nécessaires pour assurer un flux de trésorerie fluide.
• Assurer la livraison des commandes des clients dans les délais et dans les conditions convenues.
• Assurer de bonnes relations avec les distributeurs / clients
• Gagner des nouveaux clients sûrs de nouveaux marchés et augmenter le volume des ventes de l’entreprise
• Bonne connaissance du transport en vrac, logistique, est transport des conteneurs.
• Connaissance des règles commerciales et des opérations logistiques entre les pays de la Ecowas
• Capacité à travailler seul et à être autonome.
• Une expérience en entreprise de négoce international est un plus.
• Avoir travaillé dans des organisations multiculturelles est un plus.
• Fournir les rapports d’activité requise à la direction
• Maintenir les connaissances sur tous les produits et activités des concurrents.
