Digital Solutions Technical Expert H/F

Advans is looking for motivated Technical Digital Solution Experts, to work within the IT TECH central team of Advans Group. Do you have experience in managing a portfolio of digital solutions, and in system integrations and middleware, and in IT programming? This position is based in Tunis and can include short term missions abroad within the Advans Group subsidiaries.

The AIR+ Program is an important overall digital transformation program of Advans Group, involving a new IT strategy and major changes in Infrastructure, Workspace, Security & Mobility and Solutions (including a new Central Banking Software). The program is to be deployed in the 8 Advans group subsidiaries. Within this program, key web and mobile applications which will transform the way our field staff operate and the way we interact with our clients, have been selected and need to be developed centrally, deployed in all our countries. These applications integrate with our Core Banking System as well with other third-party systems, through a middleware (Talend ESB).

Under the supervision of the Group IT Solution Manager – Technical Architect, your main responsibilities will be:

• Manage the IT aspects of the build phases of some key AIR+ apps in your portfolio. Within each project team, you will:
  • · Be the main technical interlocutor of the functional project manager/central solution experts and of the partner in charge of developing the solution and/or the APIs.
  • · Translate business requirements into technical specifications in order to meet business needs.
  • · Validate technical deliveries from partners from an exhaustivity but also from a qualitative perspective, in consistency with the requirements and enterprise standards. This includes ensuring that up to date technical documentation on solutions is available.
  • · Support technical testing.
  • · Monitor the planning of various IT stakeholders and technical activities to be carried out within the overall project.

• Develop an internal expertise on each solution to maintain the solution in run mode: some of these solutions might be internalized at one point. Because knowing them enables to be relevant in challenging partners’ delivery and easing trouble shooting on the solutions once they are in production, you will:
  • · Learn how the solutions in his/her portfolio work, how they are coded, how they are structured.
  • · Anticipate technical challenges (example: scalability) or prepare evolutions (example: new editors’ versions available).
  • · Use that knowledge to help finding solutions when issues arise.
• Support the roll out of the solutions in AIR+ new countries, from a technical perspective.
• In some cases (for instance, it will be the case for the roll out of the Client App after 2 pilots managed by the vendor), manage local configurations on the platform.

What kind of profile are we looking for?

You hold a master’s degree in IT engineering and are interested in the microfinance sector and Advans’ missions. You have:

• • Minimum 2-5 years professional experience in IT programming, preferably in Banking or Microfinance industry and preferably in software development.
  • Good understanding and experience in integration architecture, knowledge of any ESB platform (Talend ESB, Oracle ESB, IBM WS WSB, WSO2, etc.)
  • Web based application development and strong knowledge and skills on Java, C#, ASP.NET
  • Understanding of SOA design principles and best practice
  • Development of enterprise services using SOAP, REST based APIs
  • Extensive experience working with XPath, XSLT and other XML APIs
  • Experienced writing and running JUnit and/or TestNG tests, TDD, continuous integration
  • Curiosity in understanding business usage of the various AIR+ core solutions
  • Ability to work as per a planning, and to overcome challenges in implementation
  • Excellent verbal, written, and inter-personal communication skills, in English and in French
