Role Purpose

  • To teach up to 18 hours per week of high-quality English to both adults and young learners.
• Main Accountabilities
  
  • Plan, prepare and deliver high quality English language teaching that meets the needs of different customer groups taking into account individual learning needs and modes of learning
  • Ensure teaching meets British Council Global Teaching Standards, as well as organisational and learner expectations.
  • Monitor progress and provide regular feedback to help manage students’ performance throughout their learning, and actively promote learner autonomy and progress
  • Actively engage in professional development and performance management to ensure quality and high standards in teaching and learning, and maintain British Council’s position at the forefront of best ELT practices
• Teaching Centre Activities
  • Support teaching centre’s activities and British Council plans
  • Attend staff meetings and otherwise contribute to the development, evaluation, and improvement of English language courses, materials and related services, in order to meet students’ needs by actively working as a member of the teaching team
  • Support local marketing and promotional strategy, and assist the teaching centre team in delivering excellent customer service through dissemination of information and communications with students

Further Information

• Salary: 2,200 and 2,520 TND Gross,(Based on qualification & experience)
• Contract Length: 12 months
• Renewable Period :12 months
• Location : Tunisia
• Tentative Start Date: 1st May 2022
• Annual Leaves : You will be entitled to leave at the rate of 28 working days per annum earned based on a 5-day week, for each 12 months served at the British Council in Tunisia.
• Medical Allowance : You will be registered on the local health insurance scheme (COMAR), where you will be expected to make a contribution of 2.25% with the British Council making a contribution of 6.75%.
