Background

Tunisia Accountability, Decentralization and Effective Municipalities (TADAEEM) is a USAID program implemented by Deloitte Consulting, which aims to help the Government of Tunisia decentralize governance to the institutions closest to its citizenry and continue to strengthen its nascent democracy.  Deloitte, alongside a team of partners, will work to enhance citizen participation in the process of governance as well as the government’s capacity to deliver the services that citizens prioritize.  The project works in 12 governorates, 33 adjacent municipalities, and with the central government in Tunis to ultimately strengthen the ecosystem of stakeholders and institutions across the country.

Job Summary

The Finance Assistant

will support the TADAEEM Project with financial and Procurement operations.

 He/she will support financial functions while adhering to Deloitte and USAID compliance policies.

The position will be based in Tunis.

Specific Tasks

  • Prepare travel expense calculation and expense reimbursements;
  • Manage cash controls as well as maintain bookkeeping up-to-date and prepare needed backup for payments;
  • Assist the Finance Team in tracking local staff compliance with time and expense policies and procedures;
  • Maintain records and prepare weekly finance reports;
  • Review financial paperwork, invoices, etc;
  • Maintain compliance with TADAEEM, Deloitte and USAID policies;
  • Coordinate with the Administrative Assistant in the tasks requiring financial operation;
  • Oversee the preparation of the financial documents; and

Any other related tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Reporting Relationship

The Finance Assistant will report to the Finance Manager.

 

 Critères d’éligibilité

  •  Proven work experience as a Finance Officer or similar role
  •  5+ years of relevant work experience in finance role
  •  Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  •  Capable problem-solver who is highly-organized and analytical
  •  Flexibility to learn specific financial and accounting regulation of the program
  •  Knowledge of MS Excel
  •  Knowledge of financial and accounting regulations
  •  Excellent numerical skills
  •  Sharp time management skills
  •  Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data
  •  High degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or any relevant area
