Target is a fast growing technology and services company, serving the needs of the upstream oil and gas industry. Headquartered in Muscat, Oman with a technology office in UK, Pakistan, China and Tunisia urgently looking for talented candidates to join its growing team. This group will be part of thr “Next Generation Platform” technology team, who are delivering game-changing work to ou international customer base.
Your Mission:

• Roll out automated deployment pipelines allowing for lean and seamless software delivery from code repository to deployment environment (CI/CD).
• Roll out the processes necessary to enforce delivered software quality, from inception to deployment: from the Developer’s machine to the deployment environment. (Testing and QA Automation)
• Design and implement feedback loops at any stage of the software manufacturing line – so it is possible to detect opportunities for improvements during build or anticipate critical defects in production.

Your Profile
=========
• You have a strong background in Systems (Linux) administration and monitoring, including networking and mainstream services like databases and web servers
• You have a fair knowledge in public cloud computing: Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform or Microsoft Azure.
• You have a good knowledge about containers especially Docker
• You have some knowledge about kubernetes, istio, opencensus, … and you’re willing to take it to the next level
• You are a git expert – And know your way around any of the major git-based platforms: bitbucket, gitlab or github – with our main focus being Gitlab.
• You have experience in setting up continuous integration/delivery pipelines for Gitlab with Gitlab CI/CD.
• Nice to have some infrastructure automation experience with products like Terraform.
• You have the automation spirit: You don’t want to repeat yourself and you write scripts to handle it for you
• You are curious, take nothing for granted and are willing to challenge the status-quo
• You want to make your fellow developers – our internal customers – happy and productive, so they can deliver most value to our external customers.
