The National Center for State Courts (NCSC) is seeking qualified experts in financial crimes investigation and prosecution to serve as Financial Crimes Experts and provide short-term technical assistance and training to the Judicial Financial Pole in Tunisia. The assistance and training is provided by NCSC under its current “Increasing Accountability in Tunisia and Empowering the Judicial Financial Pole” Program, funded by the U.S. Department of State, Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI).
Position Summary
Selected candidates will provide technical assistance and training to strengthen the ability of the investigative judges, prosecutors, financial analysts, and clerks of the Judicial Financial Pole to investigate and prosecute financial crimes, including corruption, effectively and in compliance with international best practices and ethical standards. Assistance and training will be provided in Tunis, Tunisia on a short-term basis.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Conduct assessments and provide recommendations to increase knowledge and skills of the Judicial Financial Pole’s personnel and strengthen its organizational and administrative operations.
- Design and deliver training modules to improve the capacity of the Judicial Financial Pole’s personnel to investigate and prosecute financial crimes.
- Provide technical assistance and mentoring to the Judicial Financial Pole’s personnel to implement international best practices and ethical standards in the management of financial crimes investigations and prosecutions.
Qualified applicants will have:
- Relevant education, training, and professional experience in the investigation of financial crimes and analysis of illicit financial flows.
- Knowledge of international best practices and standards in the conduct of investigation and/or prosecution of financial crimes and identification of illicit financial flows.
- Past or current experience as a financial crimes prosecutor, investigator, or analyst is preferred.
- Demonstrated commitment to the Rule of Law and public accountability.
- Problem-solving skills, creativity, and flexibility needed to perform effectively with limited resources and time constraints.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French and/or Arabic preferred. Proficiency in English helpful.
