Overview: IBTCI is seeking a Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant to work with its project team in Tunis, Tunisia funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). This project provides monitoring, evaluation and learning services in both Tunisia and Libya.
Essential Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities:
1. Support to M&V Training:
Provide support to development and translation into Arabic of training tools and schedule for M&V training.
Help deliver M&V training as scheduled for mid-January.
This will include considerable interpretation support.
Support drafting of the training report.
2. Support to M&V Operations:
Work with M&E Specialist for Libya in providing support to M&V site-visit reporting.
Transfer of relevant lessons learned from Yemen and Syria TPM programs.
Liaison with monitors to reinforce training topics/skills.
Support to M&V site-visit reporting via the digital platform.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Full proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
Advanced English Language skills.
Experience working with USAID or other international development organizations.
Past experience in Monitoring and Verification training.
Experience working with IBTCI is an asset.
Minimum Requirements:
Strict attention to detail.
Ability and willingness to work with all levels of the organization.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Oral and written fluency in English and Arabic required.
Working Environment: Work is typically performed in an office environment.
Physical Requirements: This is largely a sedentary position that requires the ability to speak, hear, see, and lift small objects up to 20 lbs.
Supervisory Responsibility: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Travel: Travel to Tunisia may be required.
